Noticing Beauty
It’s midsummer, Solstice, and I take an afternoon walk in the local meadows. The trees are full with the season, the pasture is rich with wild flora and nature. As I take a seat I breathe in the nature. I notice a pretty white meadow flower, tiny and perfect set against the backdrop of green, beauty and simplicity come to mind.
Life presents us with all sorts, the pleasant, the unpleasant and different shades of experience in-between. Noticing beauty can be a helpful resource when we experience challenging moments, or a period of difficulty. Trying to bypass the difficulty won’t work of course, but this is about creating balance, seeing the little and bigger pciture, whilst giving our neuro-health a helping hand too.
As the lockdown eases and some of us reintegrate with more familiar ways of living, now more than ever is a great time to be with nature, take a break, notice beauty, giving time to experience the things we love to do.
Good wishes,
Sophia
